Is Bark2Play free?

Yes, Bark2Play is free.

Which phones does it run on?

Android 8.0 or later, and iPhone with iOS 17 or later.

How do I add a buddy?

Open your code in the Buddies tab. Your buddy can scan the QR code on your phone, open the link you send them or type in the eight-character code. The code is valid for 24 hours. You can also search for buddies by their dog's name or their own and send them a request.

Who can see where I am?

Your position is only visible while playtime you started is running. For each playtime you choose whether only your buddies see it or everyone nearby. People who aren't your buddies only see public playtime when they're close: exactly within a kilometer, roughly within five. Outside playtime, the app doesn't share your location.

What is the private zone?

A circle around a place you choose, usually your home, with a radius between 200 meters and one kilometer. Inside the zone your position is neither shared nor stored, so nobody can see where you set off from.

Why does the app ask for location access?

So the map can show you what's happening nearby, and so your buddies can see where you are during playtime. On Android, tracking during playtime runs with a visible playtime notification, so the app doesn't need background location access. On iPhone, location is only used in the background while playtime you started is running.

How do I report poison bait or another hazard?

Tap the map at that spot and choose to leave a warning. Everyone nearby can see it, and your name isn't shown.

How do I report or block a user?

Open their profile and choose to report or block. A blocked user can no longer see your profile, playtime or photos, and can't add you as a buddy. We review reports and, where needed, remove content or block the account.

How do I delete my account?

In the Bark2Play app: Profile → Account and settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and immediately removes your account, dogs, photos and playtime history.

If the app is no longer on your phone, send a deletion request to office@ungasoft.com from the email address you sign in with, or describe your account (profile name and your dogs' names). We delete the account within 30 days at the latest and let you know once it's done. What is deleted right away and what is kept for a while is explained in the privacy policy.
